Black intuitive somatic healer (Somatic Experiencing Practitioner in training), anti-oppression facilitator, and certified Nia Dance instructor based in Oakland, California. I create safe, affirming, sacred, decolonial spaces both online and in person, guiding in a nonhierarchical way that allows collective wisdom to emerge from the client or group.
1:1 Intuitive Somatic Healing
In this integrative healing session, we will explore the use of a variety of therapies including somatic experiencing, gentle movement, and ancestral spiritual work to uncover the roots of the trauma or illness in your body. Over the course of our time together, we will invite deeply held traumas to teach us their lessons and move through their natural process, honoring your body’s unique wisdom about how to heal itself.
1 hour session: sliding scale $85 - $145
Nia Healing Dance Movement
Trauma is stored in the body, and needs to move through the body in order to heal; gentle, mindful dance is one of the most effective and nourishing ways to aid in this process. As someone who has struggled with chronic pain and frequent re-injury, I discovered Nia dance and was hooked by the low-impact, no-pressure movement practice, rooted in ancient forms of energetic healing and release including Tai Chi, Yoga, and West African dance. Nia is well-suited for anyone looking to build a deeper connection with their body.
Are you a DEI (Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion) professional, ERG (Employee Resource Group) leader, educator, or movement organizer feeling stuck or burnt out in your work? During our tailored sessions, we will get to the root of the dynamics you're experiencing and explore somatic, decolonial approaches for transformative change and support. Drawing upon my experience leading a global ERG and labor organizing at Google, I will help you orient towards liberation while integrating practices of self & collective care.
